Repair and restoration work is carried out on our premises by our expert team on all types of stringed instruments. We can give you a free estimate of the cost of the work if you are able to bring the instrument into our workshop or provide us with detailed photographs.
Promotion
Promotion of the craft of luthierie is an important element in the work of the Centre. We can help you to profile yourself and your products by events in Romania and Bulgaria and in international venues, assisting with the production of promotional material, and organizing trade promotion events ourselves in Rousse, Bucharest, Brussels, London and other venues. A second Eufonia competition will be organized by the Centre, featuring other types of stringed instruments such as lutes, madolines.
Training and exchange
Training and exchanges between luthiers are a key activity of the Centre. You can either request a specific workshop on a technical subject or attend a group event allowing you to network, exchange best practice and make useful business contacts. These group events are organized in the countries of the region and in other EU countries on demand. Tutors come from a variety of countries and are all experienced luthiers.
Valuation
Valuing an old instrument is a specialized expertise requiring many years of work in the profession. At intervals the Centre will make available an internationally recognised panel of experts to assess and evaluate your instruments. This service is also available in some individual cases on demand provided sufficient information about the instrument can be provided in advance.
Information and research
Information and research are vital to the continued success of luthierie in Europe. The Centre is equipping itself with a library and website through which information can be collected and distributed, and is proposing research projects together with other international partners of interest to the luthiers profession.
Visitors to the Centre are welcome to obtain information about products and services, fairs, exhibitions, competitions and developments in the profession. Jobs wanted / vacant in the luthier profession are also featured so that students and young people can get information about possible placements in other countries.
